International Congress BioNanoMed 2009
Nanotechnology in Medicine & Biology which will be held on 26 – 27 January 2009 at the Danube University Krems/Austria.
The aim of BioNanoMed 2009 is to bring together academia, industry, governmental and non-governmental institutions to discuss current, emerging and future trends of the converging fields of Nanotechnology, Biotechnology and Medicine.
CALL FOR PAPERS
In addition to prominent invited speakers a limited number of talks and poster presentations can be accepted. You are cordially invited to submit your short abstract! Danube University Student Poster Awards 2009 are intended to recognize outstanding research presented by students and are granted to the three best poster contributions (€ 300 for the first, € 200 for the second and € 100 for the third place).
TOPICS for BioNanoMed 2009
Nanotechnology: New frontiers in Medicine & Biology
Topics related to tissue engineering & cell therapies; the application of nanostructured surfaces in medicine; nanobased drug delivery systems; and novel diagnostic methods & analytical tools will be adressed.
Special Session (Day I)
Environmental, Health and Safety Implications and Regulatory Aspects of Nanotechnology
Panel discussion: risk governance, regulation, legislation, code of conduct, public attitude and stakeholder inclusion.
Special Session (Day II)
Hot Topics in Medical Imaging Technology
Panel discussion: practical application of nanotechnology to in-vivo imaging.
